Hello, I’m Gareth, the founder of www.beyond-noise.com. Beyond Noise is a specialist consultancy providing strategy and mentoring for the owners of established independent marketing agencies that want to grow. I’ve spent the majority of my 24 year career in the marketing agency sector, and for 15 years I was joint equity partner and CEO of my own agency based in Leeds and London. I acquired that business in a management buy out in 2002, transforming it from a family-run design firm, into a fully integrated £12 million agency. In 2014 we acquired a Shoreditch digital specialist increasing our headcount to 175. In addition to winning numerous creative awards, we were ranked as the top creative agency in the UK outside of London by Campaign magazine. A strong people focus achieved Investors In People Gold accreditation, and we beat Morrisons Supermarkets to be crowned “Yorkshire’s Best Company to Work for” by the Yorkshire Evening Post. Having successfully exited my business, I’m now a marketing agency mentor and I was honoured to be nominated as 1 of only 4 finalists for “Mentor of the Year” at the National Mentoring Awards 2019. I'm based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, where I live with my wife and 2 teenage children. Using my considerable experience, operational rigour and mentoring skills I help agencies and their leaders get better, further, faster.
